Immortals: Fenyx Rising, a new game developed by Ubisoft, has been rated by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but information seems to reveal that this isn't really a new game, but one that Ubisoft announced last year under a different moniker.
To provide more context, during last year's E3, Ubisoft announced Gods & Monsters as a brand-new intellectual property; revealing that this new game was a storybook adventure by the same creators of the crtically acclaimed Assassin's Creed Odsyssey.
After the announcement in June of last year, little to no information about Gods & Monsters was revealed by the developer. In fact, and at the time of the reveal, Ubisoft also confirmed that the game would be launching in February of this year, but it was officially delayed in October.
Considering that Ubisoft has not announced any game by the name of Immortals: Fenyx Rising has led people to believe that this is actually the delayed Gods & Monsters. Now that the game has been rated with another name, there's also the possibility that Ubisoft could be making the announcement official in September; during the upcoming "Ubisoft Forward" event. We'll just have to patiently wait and see.
From the creators of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey comes a storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods. Prove your heroism by fighting dangerous mythological creatures and taking on their fearsome leader in a face-off for the ages. Explore a beautiful fantasy world where tricky trials, treacherous dungeons, and heroic feats await. The journey will be as challenging and rewarding as the final destination, and you will emerge as the hero you are meant to become.
Gods & Monsters is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
