With almost half of 2017 already in the can and still no concrete release date information on
Red Dead Redemption 2, it should come as no surprise that today, Rockstar Games officially confirmed that the western-action-adventure game has been delayed until 2018. And don't expect a release in the first quarter of 2018. Per
Take-Two Interactive’s latest investor earning report, the highly-anticipated sequel won't launch until the 2Q of 2018, giving it a release window between April and June.
In an official statement, the game studio apologized to disappointed fans. "
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2."
However, Rockstar did release some new screenshots in an effort to make amends.
