Rain World is an action-platformer game with survival elements developed by independent studio Vodecult and published by Adult Swim Games. Originally, the game came out for PC in 2017 and this year for the PlayStation 4 in March of this year.

In Rain World, players take control of a slugcat fighting to survive in an unforgiving world full of predators that are out to catch you; all of this while trying to find its family members. The game is also inspired by classic-looking 16-Bit graphics , which gives this dark game a unique style.

In surprising fashion, Rain World was revealed to come out to the Nintendo Switch yesterday, which is the very same day it actually launched. Now, players can enjoy this foreboding and unforgiving survival platformer on-the-go as the game is currently available for players to donwload on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Take a look:

You are a Slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Find your family before death finds you in this gorgeous survival platformer inspired by the simplicity of 16 bit classics. Can you survive Rain World?

Rain World is currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
