Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. and Double Fine Productions just announced
RAD, a brand new 3D Action rogue-like video game that is coming to PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One this summer. In
RAD, two apocalypses have totally ravaged the earth, leaving those who managed to survive looking for a new source of power in the Fallow, a deadly radioactive wasteland.
In
RAD, the player takes on the role of a teenage protagonist who must venture into the Fallow to find a way to save the remaining survivors and transform this fallen planet into a lush source of life.
While it may sound easy, the deeper you venture, the more you will expose yourself to gnarly toxins which will sooner or later change your avatar into "
something far less than human, but far more powerful." Considering that
RAD is being made by the creators of
Broken Age, Grim Fandango Remastered, and
Brütal Legend, it comes as no surprise that it already looks like a wild, wild ride.
