Twin Mirror is a psychological thriller developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Bandai Namco that will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in
2019. Dontnod is the studio behind games like
Life Is Strange, and have recently released action RPG
Vmpyr—both games focusing heavily on narrative.
In this new psychological thriller, players will explore truth, duality, and polarity while dictating their character's future throughand the personal choices they make as they investigate the protagonists hometown. Players take control of Sam who has just returned to his home in the fictional town of Basswood, West Virginia—as he attend to his best friend's funeral, while also dealing with a bad break-up. One day he wakes up not knowing what happened the night before, only to realise that his shirt was all covered in blood—which is when he starts his investigation.
Twin Mirror will see players trying to recollect Sam's memories as they interact with people from Basswood during the investigation, where every single one of their choices will determine Sam's troubling fate—while walking a dark and emotional path where there's a thin line between truth and deception.
