Agony will be officially released on May 29, 2018 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The console version of the game will be modified and censored to ensure that the game will be released on both systems with an M (Mature) rating instead of the AO (Adult-Only) one.
The game's Kickstarter update page features some uncensored gifs from the PC version, so be sure to check them out HERE.
The game is being developed by Madmind Studios, the team which is made up of industry veterans who worked on titles such as
Enemy Front, Tom Clancy's The Division, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, and many others. "
You’ve been tortured for countless days, not being able to get out of the Hell," they wrote in their latest Kickstarter update. "
But finally! The salvation day is coming soon, so save your strengths and be prepared for the slightest chance of escaping the horrors of the past and solve the riddle behind the mysterious Red Goddess!"
The new trailer suggests a pretty hardcore, bloody and awful experience, but I'm sure fans of the
Saw, Ichi the Killer, and
Hostel series will love it.
Agony was funded on Kickstarter back in November 2016 and faced a small delay in March to support every gamer no matter which platform they play on with the best possible experience. Hopefully, the game will live up to its hellishly intriguing promise...
Agony is a first-person survival horror game currently in development. Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past. The special ability to control people on their path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives the player the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions they are in. By exploring hostile environment and interacting with the other weary souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require a meeting of the mystical Red Goddess.
