The official Arc System Works website has announced that the 2D fighting game BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will be getting an arcade version this spring in Japan. The game will be launching in game centers across three locations: Tokyo, Taito Station, Phoedra Osu in Aichi and Taito Station Nippombashi in Osaki. The game will be playable for two days, February 9 and February 10.

The new arcade version looks to bring new changes to the game. The developer states that it will implement balance adjustments and "long-awaited new character additions". The arcade edition of the game will bring the new 1.5 version to players and will eventually find its way to the PC and consoles.

Arc System Works developed the 2D fighter and PQube published it. The game launched on May 31, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The announcement video shared down below has a couple of fight scenes with the confirmed release date of the arcade version on spring 2019.
