CALL OF CTHULHU Gets New Preview Trailer As We Get Close To Its Release

Cyanide Studio's take on H.P. Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu is getting close to its release date, and today we get a new preview trailer showing off the game's amazing atmosphere.

Based on Chaosium's pen and paper role-playing game, which in itself is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's short story The Call of Cthulhu, Cyanide Studios' Call of Cthulhu was officially announced during this year's E3 with a mysterious, and enthralling trailer.

Call of Cthulhu will see players traversing through the mysterious Darkwater Island and exploring an imploring mansion that belonged to the Hawkins Family before their tragic death. Players take control of private investigator Edward Pierce, as they try to uncover the secrets behind the mysterious death of the Hawkins Family by talking to Darkwater Island locals.

Another interesting aspect in Cyanide Studios' take on H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story is that the game will focus on Edward Pierce's mental sanity, adding elements of psychological horror on top of all the mystery surrounding Darkwater Island and the Hawkins mansion.

Today, we get a new preview trailer for Cyanide Studios' Call of Cthulhu as we get closer to the 30th of October—the date the game will finally be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam—showing off some of the game's fantastic atmosphere, horror elements, and bits of its mysterious plot.
