Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is arguable one of the most underappreciate games of the last decade, as the closed Headfirst Productions managed to create an interactive world where H.P. Lovecraft's horror meets a truly captivating gameplay. It shouldn't be surprising that Dark Corners of the Earth can be found on the lists of the greatest book to game translations ever made.
The nightmare will return in Call of Cthulhu, Cyanide's take on H.P. Lovecraft's body of work. The game will feature a semi-open world environment incorporating themes of Lovecraftian and psychological horror into a story which includes elements of investigation. It is inspired by Lovecraft's short story The Call of Cthulhu while also being a sequel to the 1981 role-playing game of the same title.
