Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The first-person shooter game features more weapon camos than any prior instalment in the long-running series. Each and every weapon can be customised with a variety of over one-hundred camos.
All of those camos are available in game at launch. So, that isn't including those that will be added later on as downloadable content or through some kind of battle pass (via
Charlie INTEL).
There's a new system for camos in general as, this time around, players will be unlocking categories. There are ten categories in total and ten camos per each one. They can be unlocked by completing in-game challenges — such as getting a certain amount of headshots with a specific weapon, for example.
The categories are as follows: Spray Paint, Woodland, Digital, Urban, Splinter, Topo, Tiger, Stripes, Reptile, and Skulls. It's easy to imagine what most of those will look like on a weapon.
As well as those, you can acquire the iconic Gold camo by unlocking one-hundred standard camos for that specific weapon. Unlock the Gold camo for every weapon within its category (submachine guns, assault rifles, etc.) and you'll unlock the Platinum camo. Unlock every camo available within that weapon category and you'll unlock the new Damascus camo — which you can check out below.
On October 25th, when the world is threatened, you’ll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war. Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2019.
