CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE: Many Classic Maps Will Reportedly Be Added As DLC In The Future

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The multiplayer has largely been criticised for its map design — as Infinity Ward abandoned the traditional three-lane formula of prior instalments.

Thankfully, it seems that some good ol' classics could be making a comeback in the future. According to a new report by Charlie INTEL, which very closely lines up with leaks from before the first-person shooter's launch, maps from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subseries will return — including Terminal, Crash, Wet Work, Vacant, Broadcast, Scrapyard, Boneyard, and Rust.

All of those maps will apparently be for 6v6 gamemodes except for the latter one which will also be available for 2v2 modes such as Gunfight. There's also some new maps that didn't feature in prior Call of Duty games — those being Farah, Caged, and Hook — as well as another four for the Ground War gamemode and three for the Gunfight multiplayer mode.

Based on the report, at least a couple of these maps will be added to the game for free — maybe even all of them. However, it's worth keeping in mind that this information isn't official nor has it been confirmed. So, don't get your hopes up too high but keep your fingers crossed.
