As well as Nuketown and Shipment, Rust is one of the most iconic
Call of Duty maps of all time. It originally featured in
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and quickly became a fan-favourite. It's a small map but it makes up for its size with its verticality.
Currently, there's a beta going on for
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — not to be confused with
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Only a few of the maps that will be available in the full game are available during the early access event. However, somebody recently scoured the game's files and discovered a look at a map that isn't currently included in the beta. It's a remastered version of Rust.
The image that was recovered from the beta's files appears to be a loading screen for the map. You can see the image for yourself below (via
Charlie INTEL). While you might think that it's just a photo of Rust from
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there are some subtle details that differentiate the two versions — as you can see by comparing the image below to the banner above.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2019.
