Players have requested a Hardcore Mode since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's release since it was conspicuously missing from the game when it first came out and is still missing now. Hardcore will be introduced to the game during its forthcoming Season 02, which starts next month, according to developer Infinity Ward.
This information was only recently released by Infinity Ward, who also provided information on Ranked Play, new multiplayer modes, maps, and weapons, as well as the return of Resurgence in Warzone 2.0. The gulag in Warzone 2.0 is now a 1v1 battle instead of a 2v2 one like it has been from the game's inception, and loot from killed adversaries now floats on the ground rather than being kept in a bag. However, it's obvious that the return of Hardcore is the most intriguing change coming to Season 02. Many of these adjustments are positive.
The tweet from Infinity Ward breaking the announcement has nearly twice as many likes as the other tweets revealing Season 02. It is unknown how Hardcore will appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but if "no HUD" is any indicator, it will be the beloved Hardcore mode that fans have grown accustomed to over the course of several Call of Duty games. For those who are unfamiliar, Hardcore mode often has no HUD, much speedier deaths, and more features that make it a more challenging deathmatch-type game format overall.
Infinity Ward also announced more to look forward to in their Season 02 release. Such as changes to looting in Battle Royale to give better visuals of pop and floating loot-outs. Lootable cash will see an increase while they are better balancing in-game prices to make your dollar go a bit further! Warzone 2.0 can also let players run trios in Mini Royales while the Battle Royales can run solo, duos, trio, and quads.
There should be improvements overall as they announced their patch notes to fix bugs in an update to their Season 01. Check out those Reloaded Patch Notes here.
