Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 28th.

Named identically to a previous Call of Duty instalment that released all the way back in 2009, the newest entry in the popular first-person shooter series is a follow-up to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Speaking of Call of Duty's bountiful backlog, it's said that Infinity Ward are already developing DLC for their upcoming game in the form of a map pack that will include many classic multiplayer levels from days gone.

The reputable Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostOfHope, refers to this paid DLC pack as a "greatest hits map pack" and says that it's in the works as a celebration of the franchise reaching its 20th anniversary.

It's not out of the ordinary for Call of Duty developers to bring back old maps, however, this would be the first time that a studio delves beyond their own back catalogue and into others. It's said this map pack will include classic maps from not only previous Infinity Ward titles but also Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games.

Expect popular classics like Rust, Firing Range, Terminal, High Rise, and Favela. What maps from Call of Duty's past would you like to see remade for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
