Capcom Reveals Sales Numbers For MEGA MAN X LEGACY COLLECTION And MEGA MAN 11

A recent Investor Q&A has revealed some interesting sales numbers for two of Capcom's heavy hitters of 2018: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1&2, and Mega Man 11 — with the latter performing even better.

During a recent Investors Q&A, Capcom shared some interesting details about the performance of two of their heavy hitter titles of 2018: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1&2 and Mega Man 11, with the latter managing to perform better in a shorter period of time.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1&2 was released in July of last year, managing to sell up to 920.000 copies as of December, according to Capcom. While this collection doesn't really bring anything new to the table, sales at least show that there's still a demographic eager to get more entries in the series that's been dead for almost 15 years.

What's even more interesting, though, is the fact that Mega Man 11 managed to sell a very respectable 870.000 copies as of December of last year. Unlike Mega Man X Legacy Collection, though, Mega Man 11 was released early in October — making the feat even more impressive.

When it comes to the Mega Man series, both X and Classic, Capcom has not been able to meet the high standards set by the original games — up until the brilliant Mega Man 11 was released, that is — but the fact that Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1&2 and Mega Man 11 performed as well as they did will definitely make Capcom reconsider their strategy moving forward; something that fans of the franchise will surely appreciate.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection contains side-scrolling classics Mega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, and Mega Man X4. Continue the adventure with Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, which includes Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, Mega Man X7, and Mega Man X8. Each collection also contains a plethora of rare game art, nostalgic trailers, merchandise galleries, and more. These collections also include the all-new X Challenge mode, which features a series of challenges in which X faces off against two deadly Maverick bosses at once!

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam.

Mega Man is back! The newest entry in this iconic series blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh new visual style. The new Double Gear system boosts Mega Man's speed and power for a new twist to the satisfying gameplay the series is known for.

Mega Man 11 is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
