We're just a few weeks away from Monster Hunter World on consoles, but if you plan on playing it on PC, you'll have to wait a bit longer. Capcom posted a video to Twitter with Monster Hunter World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto providing an update on the PC version's status.

"We're working hard on it right now and aiming for an Autum 2018 release," Tsujimoto said. "We'll update you with more details later and thank you for your patience."

The tweet's caption further added that Monster Hunter World is currently being optimized. There's no exact details on how the game will differ on PC than consoles; presumably there will be a range of additional visual options, at the very least.

As for the console versions, Monster Hunter World launches on PS4 and Xbox One on January 26. Following its release, Capcom has plans for free post-launch content, including new monsters, on all platforms.
