Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is a football game with arcade style gameplay mechanics, which make this sports game feel like a very different experience than the one other series like PES and FIFA offer on a yearly basis. Developer Tamsoft has also managed to make the game look exactly like the
Captain Tsubasa anime series, which is definitely a plus for fans of the long-running franchise.
Today, Bandai Namco has revealed some brand-new information about
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, as they introduce the "Episode NEW HERO" mode; a mode that promises to give players the ultimate
Captain Tsubasa experience as one of its protagonists.
First things first, players will be able to create an in-game avatar and join one of the football teams from the
Captain Tsubasa series, although they will not be able to join the series' titutlar team(Nankatsu), as they will actually try to win against Tsubasa Ozora's team.
What's even more interesting is that players will also get the chance to bond with some of the characters from the
Captain Tsubasa series, and that will lead to them actually acquiring some of their over the top skills and special moves; giving players the chance to be as powerful as the characters they befriend.
WIth the announcement, Bandai Namco also took the opportunity to release a few new in-game screenshots of
