Shenmue III is a game that has been in development for a good few years now, and fans of the Shenmue series know how exhausting waiting for this new title has been. Thankfully, the project has been moving forward as planned, and fans have been getting regular updates pointing that the game will, indeed, be releasing this August.

The long-awaited Shenmue III has even managed to surpass its original crowdfunding goal of $2 Million, which further proves that fans of the series were not willing to leave Ryo's story incomplete.

Developers Deep Silver and YS have really put a lot of effort into the game and it shows, as they seem to have captured all of the elements that made the original games a household name while also updating the graphics in a way that the changes made don't deviate too much from Shenmue I & II.

Today, during a conference in which Yu Suzuki(Shenmue series creator) showed off a few screenshots for Shenmue III, and also shared some new details about the long-awaited sequel.

As seen on the pics, we can really appreciate how the developer has managed to capture the look and feel of the Shenmue series while keeping it pretty familiar; even down to the game's UI, which is also something that keeps the game's style almost intact.

Take a look and be sure to check out the full conference, in order to find out even more details about Shenmue III, down below:

Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.

Shenmue III will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC on the 27th of August in 2019.
