Codemasters' ONRUSH Shines In The "Race, Wreck, Repeat" Livestream With 40 Minutes Of New High-Octane Gameplay

Motorstorm and Driveclub developer Evolution Studios was officially closed by Sony two years ago, but Codemasters was lucky enough to hire some really skilled developers who worked on one of the best arcade racing games of last generation, Motorstorm, and asked them to produce a worthy successor of Sony's abandoned series. It looks like the developer will definitely deliver this time with Onrush

Onrush is fast, spectacularly arcade in the best meaning of the word, using the mechanisms you've seen and loved in the Mario Kart series. The game seems to be heavily influenced by the Trackmania and Burnout franchises, two extremely arcade and "easy to learn, hard to master" racing games.

The open beta starts this May, so get ready for it with the newest action-packed livestream video. The gameplay features more than 40 minutes of pure high-octane action, showcasing two modes, Overdrive and Countdown, requesting your cooperation with other players to add time onto the countdown clock for your team. Check it out:

Race, smash and takedown your opponents in ONRUSH, a refreshing break from the norm epic action/arcade racer. Voted for by millions of on-line fans you step in as one of the 12 most exciting and popular Onrush competitors in the world.

Onrush is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 5, 2018.
