Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a compilation that includes the first three games in the
Crash series. The
N. Sane Trilogy first came out as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4 on the 30th of June 2017.
On the 29th of June, a whole year after the initial release on the PlayStation 4, the game was released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC—becoming a hit once again, especially in the United Kingdom.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was
leading the UK charts in its very first week since launch, moving all the way up from the 22nd position and taking the number one spot from Nintendo's
Mario Tennis Aces, and even beating
The Crew 2.
The reason why this is so surprising is because the game had already been out for a whole year and it was suddenly dominating the UK charts thanks to the release on other consoles. Well, if that wasn't impressive enough,
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has managed to stay in the number one spot, completely undefeated, for an even more impressive 6 weeks since it lunched.
The other game that had managed to stay for quite a while in the number one position, according to the GfK UK Charts, was Santa Monica's highly acclaimed
God of War, which
led the charts for a very respectable 5 weeks straight—not being able to beat the former record holder; Naughty Dog's
The Last of Us. Needless to say, it's an impressive feat by Activision's (and technically Naughty Dog, as well) loveable bandicoot Crash. Our hats are off to you,
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
