Caged Element's
Grip has been available in Steam Early Access for quite some time, and the title will finally leave the program relatively soon, as the game will finally launch on PC and consoles later this year. There's a chance you've heard about
Rollcage, the arcade racing game that launched in 1999 on the first PlayStation and PC, quickly capturing players' imagination and gaining a cult status.
Grip tries to live up to the
Rollcage series with crazy and complicated maps, split-screen, competitive multiplayer, several power-ups, advanced customization options, and, most importantly, truly furious speeds. The game is using the Unreal Engine 4, allowing you to defy physics (it's one of the few games that allows you to drive on walls or ceilings). Be sure to check out the announcement trailer below!
Inspired by the Rollcage games of 1999 and 2000, GRIP is a new IP for a new generation. A return to the hardcore combat racer, bristling with heavy weapons and packing ferocious speed, the game is an intense, sensory feast. Harnessing the awesome potential of Epic's Unreal Engine 4, GRIP will take you back to your nostalgic past, while simultaneously propelling you into a kick-ass future.
