Last month, Kojima Productions and 505 Games officially announced that Death Stranding will be coming to PC (via Steam) on June 2nd, 2020. You can find out more on that here as well as some features and cosmetic in-game items that will be exclusive ot the PC release.
At the moment, the Hideo Kojima-directed game is exclusively available on the PlayStation 4 — having released for the Sony console back in November. Well, unfortunately that release date for the PC release is obselete now. No longer will Death Stranding come to PC on June 2nd but rather, almost a month and two weeks later, on July 14th, 2020.
Kojima Productions and 505 Games both recently took to social media to announce that they're temporarily closing their doors on account of the coronavirus pandemic that has unfortunately been plaguing most of the world for the past couple of months.
It's a shame for anticipating fans, for sure, but entirely understandable given the circumstances. After all, we wouldn't want anybody to risk catching or spreading the virus for the sake of a PC port. Here's hoping all the employees and developers at Kojima Production and 505 Games remains safe, well, and at home.
