The cross-country rally racing game is officially coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms on September 11th 2018, Deep Silver announced yesterday. According to the publisher,
Dakar 18 is one of the biggest open worlds ever made in a racing game, and you'll have a chance to choose between 5 vehicle categories: Car, Motorcycle, Quad, Truck, and UTV (a small 2- to 6-person off-road vehicle).
Portuguese development studio Bigmoon Entertainment promises that
Dakar 18 will feature realistic navigation system, singleplayer and multiplayer, time and weather simulation system, sand, mud and water simulations systems, realistic vehicle physics system, huge open world with realistic graphics, and "rescue and repair," as
Dakar 18 will apparently take realism and visuals more than just "seriously."
Deep Silver also released a brand new trailer featuring some gameplay footage, introducing the vehicles you'll use to win the annual rally raid organized by the Amaury Sport Organisation. Interestingly enough, players will have to use the real road books – provided by the pilots to the development team – to find the way across each of the 14 stages across Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.
Take a look:
Based on the world famous annual rally raid organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) in South America, DAKAR 18 is a realistic simulation of the biggest cross-country rally in the world and features a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads and UTVs. Players will compete in fierce online multiplayer battles as well as playing offline to harness and grow racing skills in a huge open world.
DAKAR 18 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 11th 2018.
