Capcom announced a few months ago that
Resident Evil 0,
Resident Evil HD Remaster, and
Resident Evil 4 were going to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, all of them being titles that had been Nintendo console-exclusives upon their original release, giving players the chance to take these timeless classics on the go.
Today, during the Nintendo Direct presentation for this year's E3, Capcom revealed that players will also be getting
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 to play on their Nintendo Switch; both titles expecting to become available
in Fall of this year.
While
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 may be amongst the least popular titles in the long-running survival horror series by Capcom, they are still great games in their own right; even when they lean a little bit more towards action/adventure rather than the survival horror genre the series is known for.
Check it out:
Resident Evil 5: While the Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, a more dangerous threat has emerged. Somewhere in Africa, innocent villagers are transforming into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Featuring online and couch co-op, players can experience this Resident Evil classic as either Chris Redfield or his partner Sheva Alomar, as the duo works together to investigate and stop those responsible for the viral outbreak. Resident Evil 5 releases on Nintendo Switch this Fall.
Resident Evil 6: Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 delivers an epic dramatic horror experience. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang. Resident Evil 6 releases on Nintendo Switch this Fall.
Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be available for the Nintendo Switch this Fall.
