Keen Games' action survival RPG Enshrouded launched via early access back in January, and today it received its first major update. The Hollow Halls update packs a ton of new content, including new dungeons with a new enemy faction, exclusive legendary rewards, a mysterious crafting station with new recipes, and new quests. There are also numerous performance improvements and quality-of-life updates.

The highlight of the update is the Hollow Halls, a series of unique, massive dungeons found in the game's different biomes. These dungeons aim to answer the community's calls for more challenging combat exploration.

For the creative builders, the update also introduces rounded doors and windows, potted plants, and a variety of seedlings. And after a long day of battling, your character can now actually sit down on furniture.

On the performance side, the update removes the 60Hz limitation and updates the camera motion to support higher frame rates and refresh rates.

Keen Games has also reworked the town Willow Crush while polishing a few other locations in the game. The loot UI design has been overhauled and players can now craft stacks of items.

This is a major update with over 100 different changes and improvements. The video overview can be watched below, while you can read up on the full change log here.

Enshrouded is currently in Early Acces on Steam with its full 1.0 and console releases planned for 2025.

Despite being in early access, Enshrouded has proven to be incredibly popular with over 2 million players. And it seems many of these players are enjoying their experience as the Steam reviews are "Very Positive."

As with other games in Early Access, Enshrouded will continue to receive updates that improve the overall gameplay experience. Ken Games recently released a roadmap for the game, which featured plenty of more improvements coming.

The roadmap featured a mix of new gameplay content as well as server improvements. Things like a vanity system, townsfolk pets, mountains biome and editable signs were displayed along with server gameplay settings, portals to other servers and more.

Coming later in the year, according to the roadmap, will be sharing and visiting of bases, instanced dungeons, more biomes, world events, water and "create & share" gameplay experience.

You are Flameborn, last ember of hope of a dying race. Awaken, survive the terror of a corrupting fog, and reclaim the lost beauty of your kingdom. Venture into a vast world, vanquish punishing bosses, build grand halls and forge your path in this co-op survival action RPG for up to 16 players.

Enshrouded is currently available for purchase for $29.99, a price that will undoubtedly rise once the game leaves Early Access.
