Would you look at that, another video game is facing delays. You see, the folks at Bethesda planned to release the Big Human update for Fallout 76 this year, but unfortunately, those plans are now in the gutter as the update has been pushed back to 2020.
The update, which is designed to give human NPCs dialogue and quest-lines, will now be released in the first quarter of 2020, which is anywhere between the month of January and March. This is a big deal because the game started without human NPCs, and now, things are changing in a big way.
"We're excited about how Wastelanders is coming together but it's going to need more time to be the best, most polished update it can be," the announcement states. "Wastelanders is turning out to be one of the largest expansions we've ever done, and it changes the entire world with human NPCs returning."
In the announcement, Bethesda spoke about plans for the future where Fallout 76 is concerned, which is a clear sign the company is not yet ready to give up on the game despite heavy criticism since launch.
Right now, the developer is moving to rework the Challenge and Atomic Shop systems for future updates, though no details were given as to when fans should expect these changes to see the light of day.
