Last week, Bethesda shared the first details regarding Survival, a brand new mode for Fallout 76 created with an emphasis on player-versus-player combat. The new mode lifts some of the restrictions of Fallout 76's standard PvP design, creating a more dangerous, hostile, and unforgiving Appalachia.

With so much attention on PvP, some Fallout fans are worried that PvE is being overlooked. Bethesda assures that is not the case.

In a post on the official Fallout Reddit, Bethesda's community manager hinted that PvE content will also be coming in March, which is when Survival mode is expected to launch in Beta.

We’re also seeing the thoughts being shared by those of you who’d like to see more PVE content, and while I can’t spoil any details just yet, I will say that Survival mode won't be the only new content coming to Fallout 76 in March, so stay tuned!

Although Fallout is a franchise that has primarily existed as a single-player RPG with an emphasis on PvE content and world-building, Bethesda took a gamble on Fallout 76 by creating a world that is only inhabited by live players. Because of its design, it's understandable why they would focus on PvP. At the same time, it's nice to see they haven't forgotten about their core community of PvE enthusiasts.

We'll hopefully get more details regarding Fallout 76's new PvE content in the coming weeks.

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.

Fallout 76 is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
