As previously teased by Ed Boon (NetherRealm founder) at SDCC, it looks like Red Hood is a very strong candidate to join the Injustice 2 roster. However, it looks as if Boon is now trying to add a bit of mystery to the character's inevitable inclusion by stating that he never specified "which" Red Hood would be included. Will it be the Joker version of the character or the Jason Todd rendition? Boon actually put the question to fan vote and the overwhelming favorite was the latter.
Injustice 2 is currently slated to arrive on retailer shelves some time in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, IOS and Android. so far, the confirmed playable characters in the game are

Gameplay: Fighting - the sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us will introduces a loot-dropping system, known as the "Gear System", which offers character-specific costume pieces and equipment with status-altering effects. While equippable in single-player mode, gear will be rendered non usable in online and tournaments in order to keep an even playing field.
