Gotham Knights is set to serve as a loose sequel to the Batman: Arkham games, but fans remain anxious for a proper follow-up to Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady. Well, a leak that's surfaced through Nvidia's GeForce Now service may have finally shed some light on what comes next for the franchise.
As well as a remaster of Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham Insurgency is said to be in development. That was the rumoured title of the sequel that, for whatever reason, never became a reality, so it's possible Warner Bros. Games is looking to revisit the concept on the new generation of consoles.
It could be a prequel or sequel, but returning to Arkham as the Dark Knight would be a whole lot of fun.
Weirdly, a Sim City-style game titled Batman Citybuilder was also spotted; it's a "working title," but one that could see us actually take charge of building Gotham City. If it means recreating iconic locations such as the Batcave and Arkham Asylum, sign us up, because it's an idea with potential.
Elsewhere, it sounds like the third Injustice game is going to be titled Injustice 3: Gods Will Fall. With an animated adaptation of that first game on the way, announcing this title soon does make sense and an epic conclusion to the trilogy would definitely be welcomed by fans of the series.
