There's no denying that
Mortal Kombat 11 will be one of the most discussed video games of the year, as NetherRealm Studios and WB. Interactive Entertainment's latest project changes the lore of the series, with Kronika, the upcoming game's main antagonists, trying to start a new era and rewind time to its beginning – forcing the old guard and newcomers to fight for their survival (and good name).
At launch,
Mortal Kombat 11 will feature a roster of 28 heroes and villains, including the cult-classic heroes from the original game: Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Sonya Blade, and Kano, while adding some never-before-seen fighters to the brutal mix, such as Cetrion and Kollector.
According to the team at NetherRealm,
Mortal Kombat 11's story mode will be even longer than the last entry's, allowing you to learn more about the playable characters (and most importantly, their special moves and fatalities) and overall situation before you dive in custom matches and online play.
