Mortal Kombat 11 has had one Hell of a run since it launched a few months ago. Even when it released on the 23rd of April, NetherRealm's latest entry in the
Mortal Kombat series managed to become the
best-selling title of that month.
Back in June, it was also revealed that
Mortal Kombat 11 was the best-selling video game year-to-date, making NetherRealm Studios reach a very important milestone in the history of the Mortal Kombat series.
A new report by NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed that
Mortal Kombat 11's sales are still going very strong, as the game — once again — has managed to hold the title of best-selling game of the year.
Not only is
Mortal Kombat 11 the best-selling game of the year, but the report also reveals that it is the second best-selling title in the history of the
Mortal Kombat series; trailing behind
Mortal Kombat X, which has generated higher dollar sales.
It is also worth mentioning that this makes
Mortal Kombat 11 the 5th best-selling title in fighting video game history, which is quite an achievement considering that the game has only been out for 3 months.
Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest installment in the critically acclaimed franchise, providing a deeper and more personalized experience than ever before.
