Jubei Yagyu, one of the characters that were introduced in the very first title in the long-running Samurai Shodown seres, was just given a proper character trailer — as we draw closer to the new game's release date.

When Samurai Shodown — the brand-new game that means a reboot for the sword-fighting video game series — was announced, Jubei was one of the first characters, alongside Haohmaru and other series veterans.

As long-time fans of the Samurai Shodown series may remember, Jubei was one of the characters that were introduced in the very first title in the series, but took quite a long hiatus after Samurai Shodown II released, making his triumphant return in Samurai Shodown IV and is now ready to embrace death in the Samurai Shodown reboot.

After more than a decade, Samurai Shodown is back! SNK is rebooting one of its most successful series, carrying on the legacy of past titles with a new game that retains the same thrilling battles of past titles in a graphically advanced package.

Samurai Shodown will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC in on the 25th of June.
