When an
Alien: Isolation R-rated animated series was announced last week, many fans of the franchise started dreaming about a proper TV adaptation that would continue Amanda Ripley's tragic story.
That beautiful dream has been verified, as 20th Century Fox has revealed that
Alien: Isolation Digital Series is basically a reimagined version of the ol... familiar story we've all seen in Creative Assembly’s fan-favorite horror game from 2014. According to the series recently released official description, "
20th Century Fox has expanded on Alien: Isolation by taking the cut scenes from the 2014 game and adding in new story beats to bring the tale of Amanda Ripley to life in a whole new way."
Alien: Isolation was one of the most unique games of this generation of consoles, but despite the fantastic reception from critics and players alike, it has failed to live up to Sega's sales expectations.
Considering that it sounds an awful lot like like this
Digital Series is a compilation of the game’s cut scenes with some additional footage, this news may disappoint the fanbase. The good news is that you won't have to wait to watch this thing for too long, as all seven episodes will drop exclusively on IGN YouTube on Thursday, February 28 at 9 a.m. PT. Be sure to take a closer look at the
Digital Series below:
It's been fifteen years since Amanda Ripley's mother disappeared aboard the deep space towing ship Nostromo. And for fifteen years, Amanda has suspected there was more to her mother's story than meets the eye.
All seven Alien: Isolation Digital Series episodes will drop on IGN TOMORROW at 9 a.m. PT.
