Just the other day, an official teaser for the second season of
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare post-launch content was released. This ominous teaser confirmed the return of fan-favourite character Simon "Ghost" Riley and seemingly provided us with our first look at a remake of a popular multiplayer map from
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 —
check that out here.
It has been over a decade since Rust was first introduced in
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The fan-favourite multiplayer map was infamous for being the battlegrounds of countless 1v1s and matches of Quickscope-Noscope. It's perhaps one of the most well-known
Call of Duty multiplayer maps ever.
Naturally, it's pretty significant that the map will be returning soon in
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's second season. Charlie INTEL were made privy to the confirmation thanks to their
Call of Duty AR card — which was recently updated to feature a much clearer and definitive look at Rust.
The metal structure and piping may may not appear to be very interesting if you're unfamiliar with the map but those that are will certainly recognise it. Check out the image below (via

On October 25th, when the world is threatened, you’ll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war. Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
