Call of Duty: Modern Warfare released back in 2019 and served as a reboot of the classic, fan-favourite subseries of the same name. The new Modern Warfare brought back many iconic characters, maps, weapons, and more from the original — most predominantly Captain Price.
The game itself teased a follow-up and many have anticipated the next instalment being Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a pseudo-remaster of the classic Call of Duty instalment from 2009. It seems Infinity Ward and Activision are at work on something along those lines.
A reputable leaker by the handle @RalphsValve recently dropped a bunch of information about the next Call of Duty game. First of all, stuff to do with the campaign which will feature the return of Task Force 141. Additionally, Ralph revealed some of the story's themes.
It's said that the difference between the current and last generation versions of the game will be substantial — as to encourage players to make the jump to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. What's more, the ACR, a classic, fan-favourite weapon will not be returning — at least according to this leaker; remember not to take this as confirmation, of course.
