Sanctuary has officially collided with The Fog. Behaviour Interactive has released the Diablo Collection in Dead by Daylight, bringing three of Blizzard's most infamous demons into the game as Killer outfits, along with three Survivor looks inspired by the classes of Diablo IV.
The collection went live yesterday (October 20th), and Behaviour marked the occasion with a new trailer:
The official Dead by Daylight account teased the arrival with a fittingly ominous message:
Lilith Leads The Killers
The headliner is Lilith, the Daughter of Hatred and the main villain of Diablo IV. She arrives as a Visceral outfit for The Artist, complete with unique menu animations and her own new Mori. Behaviour says it worked to keep her unmistakable silhouette intact while adding a few devilish details for longtime Diablo fans to spot.
It is a smart pairing. The Artist already works with crows and dark, ritualistic imagery, which gives Lilith a natural home in The Fog without needing a full licensed Chapter built around new gameplay.
The other two demons in the collection take over two very different Killers:
- Belial, the Lord of Lies, is an outfit for The Dredge, turning its nightmarish form into a six-faced demon of deception.
- Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, is an outfit for The Nurse, pairing his imposing design with her supernatural blinks.
All three Killer outfits are Visceral or Ascended tier, and they come with unique voice lines recorded by the characters' original Diablo voice actors. Caroline Faber returns as Lilith, Ray Porter voices Belial and Steve Blum voices Mephisto.
Each of the three has a long history in the series. Lilith is the mother of Sanctuary and the main antagonist of Diablo IV's base campaign. Mephisto, one of the three Prime Evils, was the central threat of Diablo IV's Vessel of Hatred expansion. Belial, one of the Lesser Evils, is best known as the shape-shifting deceiver who ruled over Caldeum in Diablo III.
Survivors Get Diablo IV Classes
Survivors are not left out. The other half of the collection draws from Diablo IV's playable classes:
- Zarina Kassir becomes the Sorceress with the Sorcerer's Perspective outfit.
- David King suits up as the Barbarian with the Barbarian's Plight.
- Taurie Cain communes with the dead as the Necromancer with the Necromancer's Duty.
The Taurie Cain choice is a fun one. She has always leaned into the occult, so dressing her as a Necromancer feels like a perfect fit. David King, meanwhile, is about as close as Dead by Daylight gets to a Barbarian already.
A Long Time Coming
Behaviour first announced the crossover during Dead by Daylight's 10th Anniversary livestream back in June, and fans have been waiting to see the full lineup ever since. The final reveal came at the start of the month as part of Behaviour's packed Halloween schedule.
The collection also lands as Diablo marks 30 years since the original game's release, which the trailer nods to with a line about the series' "30 years of soul-shattering horrors."
It joins a busy October for Dead by Daylight. New Blighted outfits for Jason Voorhees, The Houndmaster and The Knight arrived at the start of the month, and the Haunted by Daylight event kicked off last week (October 13th).
Licensed cosmetics have become a big part of how Dead by Daylight brings in other franchises without adding entirely new Killers. Behaviour has used the approach for plenty of other crossovers, and outfits like these let fans of both series play as familiar faces using Killers they already know.
How To Get It
The Diablo Collection is available now in the Dead by Daylight store on every platform the game is on, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
