No you aren't getting free exotics or updated raids, but Destiny is giving out 15 motes of light and 15 strange coins. So in essences you can turn their generous gift (remember they don't have to give this to you) and turn it into an exotic in the form of Three of Coins or purchasing something tha Xur has.
This isn't the only thing that they're giving away. Those who log in between 1/7/2016 and 1/10/2016 and complete any activity will receive and emblem.
Our reaction: We definitely like the little things that they're doing to keep players busy. We think this is their way of buttering us all up while they create something bigger and better for Destiny. Yes, we would like to see all the raids be bumped up to year 2, but that has to happen eventually. Until then, take your coins, motes of light and your new emblem and be happy... good things are on the horizon!
