Last month, Bethesda announced that they would be re-releasing the original versions of
DOOM,
DOOM II, and
DOOM 3 on home consoles. iOS and Android devices, however, would only be getting the first two games; still great news for fans of the series.
Fans of the long-running demon-slaying series were quick to notice some issues with the games; particularly the first two titles, which had some very noticeable audio issues that, while not game-breaking, were definitely distracting.
Bethesda has recently announced that they are corrently working on a new game update for
DOOM and
DOOM II, which will be improving in-game lighting and all of the audio issues; all of this in order to make them match the audio from the original titles.
While some of the audio issues are very minor, the biggest complaint from fans is that the music in btoh
DOOM games is way too slow when compared to the originals; making them lose part of their charm and, for the lack of a better word, "badassery".
Bethesda has revealed tht they will keep us informed about the upcoming update, so we should be expecting some news very soon; after all,
DOOM needs to be played in all of its glory, and the audio fix has been long over due.
