For those unaware, bethesda and id Software are currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic
DOOM series. QuakeCon is also currently taking place, so bethesda has taken this opportunity to show off the upcoming
DOOM Eternal.
DOOM Eternal is still a few more months away from releasing, but Bethesda has revealed that QuakeCon attendees will be able to play the game's demo and get a taste of the some classic first-person shooter action that only
DOOM games can deliver.
The presentation today also revealed some interesting details about new demons, the game's brand-new Battlemode that will have players taking control of the
DOOM Slayer and play against player-controlled demons.
Earlier today, Bethesda also announced that the original
DOOM,
DOOM II, and
DOOM 3 were becming available for home consoles and mobile devices; needless to say, it's been a great year for fans of the long-running demon-slaying franchise.
