DOOM Eternal has had fans of the long-running demon-slaying series excited for the release pretty much since it was announced. Its prequel released in 2016 became one of the best first-person shooters in years, and felt like a return to form for the DOOM series; as it should, as it was meant to be a soft reboot for the series.
Considering that DOOM Eternal was supposed to release in November of 2019, Bethesda and id Software have been sharing gameplay of the game fairly frequently, so fans know very well what to expect when the game finally becomes available this Friday.
There may be a few things about the game, however, that fans may still not be aware of. For this reason, Bethesda has released the first Dev Diary for the game, which sees Executive Producer Martin Straton and Game Director Hugo Martin revealing some very interesting informtion about the online component the game is bringing with it.
Straton and Martin talk a litle bit about providing a true online multiplayer experience for players, as well as some of the special skins they'll be able to wear, and explain a little bit about boosters and what they do after every online match.
