The original
DOOM, developed by id Software, was released on the 10th of December in 1993, and today it's the 25th anniversary of the iconic demon-slaying first-person shooter.
In order to celebrate the occasion, Bethesda(the current owner of the rights for the
DOOM series)
revealed that players can now join the Slayers Club, which will grant them access to a bunch of extras and new content for
DOOM Eternal to look forward to.
Panic Button, the ones responsible for porting
DOOM(2016) to the Nintendo Switch, has also decided to give players a present in order to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary. Starting today, Nintendo Switch players of
DOOM will now be able to add recent players they've met online to their Friend List.
Not only are they improving the online experience, but Panic Button keeps proving they deserve more credit for porting these demanding games to the Switch by increasing the game's performance, as well as allowing players to video capture their demon-slaying rampage; which wasn't available prior to this free update.
DOOM is a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience, now available for Nintendo Switch! Obliterate demon hordes in the single-player campaign, or compete against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.
DOOM is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
