Considering that this year's E3 is finally starting in less than a month, with Bethesda Softworks' annual pre-E3 media briefing officially taking place on June 9th, at 5:30 p.m. PT in Los Angeles, we should learn a whole lot more about id Software's highly anticipated DOOM: Eternal in the coming weeks.

Thankfully, the Google team recently hosted a special presentation of Google Stadia at GDC 2019, putting the spotlight on the potentially groundbreaking service's capabilities and... yes, DOOM: Eternal!

The fact that id is one of the very few game developers who openly and actively support Stadia suggests that the brand-new shooter will be shown at other Stadia-related press conferences and events going forward – as putting the spotlight solely on Assassin's Creed: Odyssey surely gets old fast.

The 2-minute-long gameplay footage is filled with all the important parts that make DOOM special – including some brutal finishers, satisfying shooting in ugly demons' heads, and blood-pumping music.

Without further ado, be sure to take a look at all-new DOOM: Eternal gameplay footage down below:

Developed by id Software, DOOM Eternal is the direct sequel to the award-winning and best-selling DOOM (2016). Experience the ultimate combination of speed and power with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat. As the DOOM Slayer, return to take your vengeance against the forces of Hell. Set to an all-new pulse pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon, fight across dimensions as you slay new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities.

DOOM: Eternal is coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia in 2019.
