After Nina Bergman seemingly leaked that a new Doom movie was in the works, an official Twitter account was launched, which has revealed that Amy Mason and Luke-Allen Gale will be portraying the leads.
In looking through the numerous reports and set photos from the project, the film will be a direct-to-video adaptation that will likely show up on a streaming platform first, according to Variety.
That's because the production is being handled by Universal 1440, the studio's digital and On-Demand focused subsidiary.
Set visits and audition tapes have revealed that Doom's infamous BFG will be making an appearance, along with plenty of blood and gore.
Tony Giglio (S.W.A.T.: Under Siege) is directing the pic. The video game adaptation has yet to announce a release date.
