Anyone familiar with
Crowbcat know that his videos can be somewhat controversial. The reason for this lies within the fact that he has no problem calling out game developers and publishers when he sees fit, thus causing fans of said companies to be ticked off by it. Especially when it comes to Ubisoft, who he has already called out on their graphics downgrades compared to the E3 Demos they've released prior to retail.
Well, today is Ubisoft's
Far Cry turn to shine as Crowbcat is putting
Far Cry 2, a game released almost 10 years ago, against the newly-released
Far Cry 5.
As a disclaimer, Crowbcat does explain that the video is not meant to take away from
Far Cry 5, and that the game still has a lot to offer regardless of the differences seen when compared to
Far Cry 2.
The video clearly shows that
Far Cry 2 has the upper hand in terms of character animations and "realism", while
Far Cry 5 falls a bit short in that department but definitely makes up for it in the graphics design. The differences are mostly nitpicks but it's interesting to see how well
Far Cry 2 holds up. More than calling out
Far Cry 5, this video should be seen as praising the amazing job the developers did when working on
Far Cry 2 and am pretty sure fans of the series also appreciate the fact that they're getting such fun games like
Far Cry 5.
