To start, we have to admit that we haven't played the first F.E.A.R. first-person shooter, but everything we've seen and read show that it was a pretty freaky game.

The F.E.A.R. 2 demo starts you out right in the freakiness... Apparently your chopper has crashed and you have no weapons.

We don't really want to give anything away, just in case you haven't played it yet, but this game looks like it's going to be pretty freaky. Ghosts and super-freaky emaciated woman appearing out of right in front of you to scare the crap out of you. Bodies of your comrades being drug along the ground, trailing blood everywhere...

The demo lets you sample a wide variety of weapons, including a shot-gun and a sniper rifle. You're also introduced to a few in-game items such as the med pac and armored vest.

The funnest part may be towards the end of the demo where you get to pilot an armored power suit, equipped with a couple of huge machine guns and rocket launchers.

The graphics and sound are on-par with the other top shooters out there. The gore is pretty intense and gratuitous.

If the game is as scary as the demo, we're all in for a treat. If you haven't played the demo, and you don't feel like waiting the last few days for the full-game to be released (February 10th), make sure and download the demo to get a taste of what awaits in the full game.
