Fortnite's special Thanos mode is now live. In the wake of its superhero-driven Season 4, Fortnite has announced an Avengers: Infinity War crossover event to celebrate the launch of Marvel Studios' juggernaut. For a limited time, battle royalers can fill the boots of super villain Thanos and use his unlimited abilities, Infinity Gems, and structure-destroying punches to dominate the battlefield.
According to Marcus Sellars, "there will be more Fortnite crossovers. The Avengers is just the start," as we should expect to see more special limited-time events in the future. Sellars is the person responsible for leaking Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops IV (and its lack of the single-player mode), and Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, so it's safe to say that he's a reliable source of the unofficial information.
It looks like The Walking Dead will be the next franchise to join Fortnite after the Avengers universe. The series' official Twitter account has responded to the announcement of the Infinity Gauntlet event with the wide eyes emoji to possibly express the interest in joining Epic and People Can Fly's record-breaking (including the most viewed YouTube stream) battle royale. The crossover is available for free across all platforms, but there are no further details such as when it ends as of the time of this writing.
Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus. Fortnite building skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. The last one standing wins.
