Fortnite's celebration of
Avengers: Endgame continued with the game adding its second Marvel-inspired cosmetic set. Following
last week's Black Widow set, Marvel fans can now purchase a set of
Guardians of the Galaxy cosmetics.
The new
Guardians of the Galaxy set, which is classified under the new "Marvel" tag, includes the Star-Lord outfit (1,500 V-Bucks) and matching Guardian Axe harvester (500 V-Bucks). Also available is The Milano (1,200 V-Bucks), the customized M-ship flown by the Guardians that's named after Peter Quill's childhood crush, Alyssa Milano. Rounding out the set is the new "Dance Off" emote (500 V-Bucks) which, of course, is modeled after the dance Quill pulls off in the finale of the first
Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Epic says this is the second of two Marvel sets, which probably means this is the last Marvel-inspired skin
Fortnite will be getting for at least a while. If that's the case, that's a tad bit disappointing, as many Marvel fans were probably hoping to get outfits inspired by all of the Avengers. Where's the Captain America or Iron Man outfits?
While it appears these Marvel outfits were created as part of the Avengers: Endgame promotional tie-in, it's unclear if they — or potentially other new Marvel outfits — will return in the future. Although
Endgame marked the culmination of 22 MCU films, Marvel Studios isn't letting up anytime soon, so there should be plenty of more opportunity for Marvel tie-ins in
Fortnite.
