Epic Games has announced that the Android beta for its popular battle royale game,
Fortnite, has expanded and is now compatible with even more Android mobile devices.
The beta,
which launched last week, was previously limited to Samsung Galaxy devices thanks to a partnership between Epic and Samsung. Now that the exclusivity period has ended, the game is now available on other Android devices; however, Epic says you'll see need a rather "high-end" device. The list of currently supported Android devices can be found on Epic's
website.
Like the tweet says, only the first wave of invites have gone out, so if you have not yet received one yet, be sure to keep checking over the next few days. As a reminder,
Fortnite on Android will not be available through the Google Play Store, but instead through Epic's own website. For more details regarding
Fortnite on Android, check out
Epic's curated FAQ section. Although the beta has expanded to more Android devices, those who own a Samsung Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4 can
download the exclusive Galaxy outfit for free.
