The Heavy Shotgun is now available in Fortnite Battle Royale, developer Epic Games announced today.

The Heavy Shotgun will be available in match in both Legendary and Epic rarities and is described as a “Pump shotgun with a large magazine. Fires slugs for medium-range effectiveness.”

The Heavy Shotgun ’s relatively low in DPS when compared to the current Tactical Shotgun, but it’s important to remember that it’s meant to be used at medium range, filling a unique niche with the current shotgun arsenal. That being said, this thing looks incredibly effective at long range as well. Check out some gameplay videos of the Heavy Shotgun in action.

The Heavy Shotgun is now available in-game. What do you think of this beast of a weapon?
