That giant meteor floating above the map in
Fortnite Battle Royale may not be a meteor after all. It
may not be aliens either, as many had suspected of late. Based on a new teaser posted by Epic Games for Fortnite Season 4, it looks like that blue mysterious object in space could be the arrival of superheroes in the popular battle royale game.
Epic Games announced Season 4 for
Fortnite Battle Royale will be “coming soon.” An image of what appears to be a superhero inside of an object similar to the shape of
Fortnite’s “meteor” was posted alongside the announcement.
Epic also updated the
Fortnite website with the same image alongside text that reads “Brace for impact,” suggesting either way Tilted Towers will be getting hit and destroyed by something before Season 4. It has been long-speculated that Epic Games has been looking to overhaul the map with a particular focus on Tilted Towers, which tends to draw the most attention and action in a match.
While many figured a simple meteor would do the trick, it looks like Epic is setting up Season 4 to be themed around superheroes; fitting given
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters today. Now before you panic about
Fortnite Battle Royale adding superhero powers to your characters, in all likelihood this probably just means Season 4’s Battle Pass content will have superhero-themed cosmetics in it.. Season 3’s Battle Pass had multiple space-themed cosmetics in it with final unlockable
being a sweet John Wick-looking skin.
What do you think about Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4 embracing a superhero theme?
